Industry Advantage Individual Plan
The Motion Picture and Television Fund has developed a special plan for individuals who have not worked enough hours to qualify for health coverage. In essence, the Industry Advantage Individual Plan allows you to continue, at your expense, coverage similar to what you had when you were qualified for MPHW.
- The cost of this insurance is competitively priced,
- In most cases, you can use the same doctors as you did with MPHW,
- You can continue to use the Motion Picture Television Fund clinics,
- As with MPHW, the coverage extends to your spouse and dependants,
- You don't have to re-qualify for coverage, as you would when opening up a new plan with a different health care provider,
- As soon as you accrue enough hours to again qualify for MPHW, you just stop paying the premiums. You can easily dip in and out of this program as needed.
