Local 695 Impact Committee

BRING THE WORK HOME
"Runaway" production has come to mean those television and film productions developed and intended for initial release/exhibition or television broadcast in the U.S., but actually filmed in other countries. As more and more jobs leave California and the U.S., the negative impact of this problem effects an increasing number of people in our industry. Local 695 intends to do its part in the campaign to halt runaway production.

We have now formed alliances with other labor and environmental organizations through the newly formed Southern California Fair Trade Network and the Film and Television Action Committee. We are lobbying to bring back our work, stop the expansion of the World Trade Organization and re-work the existing trade agreements so they are fair for everyone.
