and work under IATSE/Local 695 contracts:

1)  You need to:

Get on the Industry Experience Roster
To get on the Industry Experience Roster, you must prove that you’ve worked at least 100 days in the appropriate classification within the past 36 months and complete the Contract Services Industry Experience Roster Application. To obtain an application, call Contract Services at (818) 995-0900 or read this page on their web site www.csatf.org/ier.shtml and download the application here www.csatf.org/ierapp.pdf.  You’ll need to verify days worked with check stubs or a letter from the payroll company.

Become a member of Local 695
To join Local 695, you need to submit the proper paperwork and fees. Begin by contacting us here.

OR...

2)  The easiest, fastest, and least expensive way to join Local 695 is if you’re working on a non-IATSE production at the time that it becomes organized (goes Union) and you’ve completed 30 days of work experience in your job classification. In that instance, you’re offered immediate membership into the Local with an initiation fee significantly lower than the usual amount... and those work days apply towards a lower 30-day requirement for Industry Experience Roster placement. If you wish to join Local 695 and are currently working on a non-IATSE production, call the Local and tell us about the production so we have the information to attempt to organize that production. Your name will not be mentioned to the employer and your job will not be in jeopardy.
